Quimper, capital of the Breton language

The race for the Breton language will arrive at the town gates from 12.10pm on this Thursday, bank holiday for the acension. After having taken the Boulevarde de France, la rue de Pont-l’Abbé, the relay will be carried by the Quimper firemen to the Bagad Penhars Quimper on the quais of Odet at 12.31pm.
The bagad Glazig will march through rue du Parc, the lycée Le Likès will climb up to la Tourbie. The Diwan schools will take the relay on rue Kéréon and all the children from all the bilingual streams will run along la place Laënnec to the sound of the Alambadeg at 12.57pm.
The Quimper council members will run a symbolic relay around the Mairie. Divyezh will continue the route on rue des Réguaires and rue Aristide Briant before Ti Ar Vro Kemper take the baton on Boulevarde Dupleix and avenue de la Gare at 1.04pm.
The Redadeg will move away after that, leaving Quimper by the avenue de la Ergué-Gabéric.
A Breton language village with numerous stands, food, bar and a stage open to all artisits will welcome all participants of "Tout Quimper à vélo" (all of Quimper on their bikes), and all the friends of Breton from 11.30am-3.00pm in la place Laënnec.
This should be enough to entertain you whilst waiting for the Redadeg to pass through the town centre, come and take part in this event and show your affection and loyalty for our language.
